if it's racist for people to attack the poor or those on welfare then it stands to reason that the Democrats and Obama are attacking the rich because they are white and predominantly conservative.

It could certainly fall under the liberals' naming of "racial code words" where in this case the racial code word Obama and the Democrats use for white people is 'rich'.
