From your article, this is red tape contained in bills passed by Congress and signed by the President.
It's our problem that lobbyists write the bills and Congress rubber stamps them without reading.
And we live with the results.

The red tape is coming from:
Obamacare
The Financial Regulatory Reform bill
The new powers granted to the EPA

You wanted these new laws/regulations so now you got them only they are not what you thought.
Well tough tootsies because this is what our elected officials passed and what the President signed.

Only the lobbyists who wrote the bills know what's in them.
But we will surely find out as they get implemented.

And here is the thing about all these regulations, they don't work. Sarbanes Oxley certainly didn't prevent Madoff.

Sarbanes Oxley......counting paper clips and pencils....cross your 't's' and dot your 'i's' or get fined. My company lives in fear of them. At least it keeps lawyers employed.
