Well many of these people who haven't paid into SS for over 65 years like I have think me being against the abuse of it makes me wrong for taking from it. Hell, I have even been paying in to Medicare since its inception and most of them who come after me about that haven't even been around that long.

Ayn Rand and the budget battles in Congress
Paul Ryan (R-WI), Chair of the House Budget Committee. It seems that he counts himself among her disciples and likes her values.
More than that, she was become a philosophical beacon for many in the Tea Party Movement who -- like Ryan -- want draconian budget cuts (mostly affecting the poor and middle class) with nary a plan to raise any revenue, especially from the wealthy.
I note that many Catholics, and people of many faith traditions -- those concerned about social justice, have spoken out against both the Ryan Budget and the Ayn Rand philosophy which underlies it.
Rand's work stands as eloquent proof of John Galbraiths quote: "The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." Ayn Rand and the budget battles in Congress | National Catholic Reporter

BTW...Why did Rand pay into a system that she deplored and demonized. She should have refused. Thoreau went to jail for his princilples. All Rand did was ***** about it and start a cult of idiots.

Nobody with a brain or with even half a brain is buying the Tea Party agenda as one that will benefit anyone or anything but the wealthy and Corporate America. Maybe it started out with good intentions at its roots, but it was hijacked by extremists and Neocons.
