The Democrats elected the senators to the commission already...

Sen. Patty Murray
Sen. Max Baucus
Sen. John Kerry

John Kerry and Patty Murray... this commission was suppose to be a non-partisan approach... and they elected two of the most partisan senators in their group... thanks liberals... you killed it before it even started...

The aforementioned crooks are part of the reason the deficit is so hi.

This is akin to an accused bank robber having his accomplices sit on his jury.

You really didn't expect Harry Reid to take the high road did you?

I'd like to see Jim DeMint, Marco Rubio, and John Thune as the Senators representing the GOP in response to Harry Reid's appointments. From the GOP House let's have Ron Paul, Paul Ryan, and Darryl Issa.

The deficit commission should not have been so much as suggested, let alone implemented. The sooner it fails the better off we will be.

Cannot have both father & son on the same commission. We need Ron Paul in this fight from the House.

Agree, but if it goes forward we need the big guns. I'm greatly disappointed with the freshmen Tea Party members who blinked and voted for this atrocity.

I'm ticked that Baucus was picked. I don't see him fighting the Republicans and considering that Demint, Rubio and Rand were selected... I think they are more far more hard to the right than Murray, Baucus, and Kerry are to the left. I say that mainly because of Baucus but I don't have faith in Kerry and don't know much about Murray.

I'm in full agreement with this.

Congress is in need of a thorough purging. Even if the freshmen TEA Party members were serious about upholding their campaign promises they had little chance of fulfilling those promises with the overwhelming culture of corruption that has infected Congress.
