The TEA Party has sadly been corrupted by mainstream Republicans that claimed TEA Party values without truly embracing them to gain political office. That sad fact does little to diminish the intent and value of the TEA Party. It does however speak volumes to the level of deceit politicians are willing to use in order to be elected to office.
We know who we are! Progressives claiming all Republicans are now the Tea Party, gets a giggle out of me every time.
Ron and Rand Paul are the only true Tea Party Representatives in Congress.
I never even heard of Allan West. Turns out he's a minor state politician in Florida, and an ex-military guy who fell 100% for the brainwashing that our military is doing a great job "policing the world."
Not a big surprise that a military enthusiast wouldn't like Ron Paul's Libertarian ideals that we defend our own nation, and stop wasting trillions we don't have on waging multiple senseless wars that accomplish nothing and drag on for decades.
we all have to stay vigilant to see who is actually following the concept of the tea party and who is not.
anyone can claim that they are in the tea party and the tea party would welcome all speakers. the tea party is, after all, about freedom and isn't tied to specific people.
i certainly do not see allen west as a tea party person when he refused to defund obamacare when he had the chance.
why does he think he got tea party support in the first place?
