ok, but wasn't the point of "slapping corporate jet owners" to make the tax code fairer, by closing loopholes, credits, and deductions?

i also don't see the significance of the $250k threshold that y'all have been ranting and raving about for so long. those were the bush tax cut thresholds, which are now over and done with. even fox news says differently:

Hypocrisy??

Study says most corporations pay no U.S. income taxes | Reuters
Because corporations are special people to the right wingers. They enjoy the 'favorite child' status in their minds.

That was a campaign speech, not a plan.

A plan isnt a deal. Obamas plan got NOT ONE vote from Congress, including NO Democrats. How can you tell me that not one vote = a deal?

Furthermore, those "loopholes" turned out to not be loopholes after all, they were NORMAL business expenses that ALL BUSINESSES WORLD WIDE take. Obama dint have a dam clue what the hell he was talking about.

Why do you keep referencing TRILLIONS?

Apple is the largest company on the planet with total sales eclipsing $100B and a $350B market cap. Are you bunching up every corporation to come up with TRILLIONS? To assume that profits are typically 5-7% is entirely wrong. Some corporations lose money, even with strong sales, because of costs and tight margins. There's no "one size fit's all" in the corporate world.

RIght wingers? Isn't it Obama and this congress who are tapping the winners and regulating the losers? Isn't it GE, GM, and a host of bogus green energy companies that are being subsidized by "lefties"? YOu do realize that it's actually Obamas favorite company (GE) that paid zero taxes on record earnings last year?

I can't understand how liberals can complain about jobs moving offshore yet intentionally hammer companies that are still here. No common sense and absolutely no business sense. I guess they believe that companies are in business to be punished.

Yes, right wingers. What has Obama got to do with it? Nothing. Right wingers are the ones who refused to remove the tax loop holes which would have enabled the reduction in corporate tax rate.

Saying they pay NO taxes isa diversion. Most on the left who make that claim ignore that corps pay 38% in corporate taxes.

Name one, besides GM (Obama's buddy).

I don't disagree that there are a few that have taken full advantage of legislation intended to reduce their tax burden to or near zero, but is Congree' doing.
