I don't often bump but that statement by West is so totally idiotic I just have to. Not only is he comparing himself to Harriet Tubman but he's also saying that black people are so dumb they don't know how to change their political party
You go down to your local election commission. Or try going onto their website, maybe these days you can do it online or maybe they're mail it out. In any case you don't need any modern day Harriet Tubman

If the black community as a whole took the advice of intelligent black men like Allen West this country as a whole would be in a much better place. Of course typical ghetto blacks and other uneducated blacks hate him, he's telling them they need to improve and do things for themselves by taking personal responsibility for themselves... that's something none of them want to hear.
Find any intelligent and educated black person and ask them what they think about Allen West, chances are they like him and if they don't they can at least appreciate what he says and the truth behind it.

Ah, but look how blacks are treated by the left when they don't stay in the liberal box the left created for them. They get treated like crap, called uncle toms, etc. The proof is everywhere....just listen to Garofalos recent comments on minorities and women who "date" support Conservatism.

You CANNOT be serious. Slavery is when you force someone to do what you want them to do. Who is forcing blacks to vote Democrat? Black people have brains and are free to vote for whomever they want, and if they want to vote Democrat, then to each his own, but to claim that Allen West is a modern day Harriet Tubman is beyond delusional.
