These kooks are insane. Firing off volcanoes? I've said for a while these loons will destroy the planet before saving it from the dreaded co2.

"Yet, very few studies have tackled the practical implications of such extreme measures, in part because of the controversy surrounding the prospect of "messing with" the environment."

Translation..............We need FUNDING to keep the scam alive!!

A volcanic idea to reverse climate change

This is exactly why academia nuts are so dangerous. They actually think they can control or manipulate nature and not cause any side effects. These people are complete loons and a danger to the planet AND humanity!

Zen for the day:

The two most dangerous groups of people are those who believe they can control nature and those who believe their actions can't affect nature.

Balance exists in the middle.

They're already talking about dumping iron into the oceans, iron fertilization they call it. Then there is the big shield they want to build and on and on. Its all lunacy. I can't believe half these loons have a job but sadly the other half of the loons are their bosses. So on and on we go until they come up with something that will really screw sheet up.

It will be another "unexpected" outcome of their own doing. I swear, if I was a CEO of a company and constantly had unexpected outcomes I'd be fired. These academia guys never have to face that. It's just "OOPS!" and life goes on as usual for them.

Look at nat gas. They all love natural gas. It even sounds clean and doesn't generate the evil co2 that coal does. Now they're fracking away and folks are screaming about water contamination and on and on. Government drags its feet on looking into it because it fits their "green" agenda.

Probably a bad idea indeed. If we take such drastic steps, their outcome should be certain...
It would make more sense to drastically reduce our footprint, not just the carbon one.
The "we only have one planet" argument goes for your current life style as well.

It would make more sense to realize that co2 makes up such a small % of the greenhouse effect anything we don't won't matter.

Also there is that big ball of fire in the sky that does it's job. Sometimes more than others. It really is that simple.
