Am I the only one shocked and outraged by this?
Federal Law requires high schools to provide my minor childrens information to military recruiters?

Has it always been this way? Or is something that came out of the last two administrations? Are they considering re-instituting a draft?

According to federal law, educatioinal instutions must provide military recruiters, institutions of higher education and prospective employers, access to secondary school students' names, addresses, and telephone listings. Colorado law states that school districts have 90 days to comply with any military recruiter's request for this information.

I graduated high school back in 1993. We all were required to take some sort of academic test given by the military. After I took it, they would not leave me alone. They called all the time and tried to persuade me to join. I do not think this is something new.

nothing new, has always been..

the military is still a government job opportunity

or do you NOT want your kid to have the opportunity to be recruited by other job banks and schools????

they are still required (males at 18) to register for selective service, too

I'm curious as to your source. When there's a misspelling of "educational" and "institutions" right off the bat, it's credibility should be questioned.
