Most of us know this but Obama haters will never believe it no matter what the source.

The economy is going to operate the way it does no matter who sits in the Oval Office

While that's prob true, life works on perception and the perception is that the country continues to head in the wrong direction.

Therefore the person sitting in the Oval Office no matter whom he is, will be perceived as being in control of that perception.

Been pretty steady this year. When you hit rock bottom you can only go up. We have a very slow economic recovery.

Having said that, I do not expect a President McCain would have done much better. The situation in Europe is harming economies across the globe. At least a partial breakup of the Euro-zone seems inevitable.I think we are in for a lost decade regardless of what politicians do. We really need to address our long-term deficit problems before the rates we have to pay to borrow go up. As the world gets smaller wages between Western nations and developing ones will continue to converge. Called for IT support the other day. No longer does Robin, from New Jersey, work for us. I got Patel. He did a great job. He resides in India. Any attempts to use protectionist measures to stop the displacement of American workers, now including white-collar jobs, will do more harm than good.

The good news is I got beer in the fridge.

Yet another "blame Bush" idiotic thread. Jobs are being created, but Obama's policies are holding back more vibrant job creation. In some instances, his policies are destroying jobs.

So conversely, any recovery that doesn't happen is not his fault as well... why do I doubt you will agree.

Gee... I remember that a couple of jets hit the WTC towers 9 months after Bush took office, and that started off the economy tanking.

So you think that Bush controlled that?

That's funny since most of the job destruction is occurring in the state controlled public sector.
