Beck clearly has mental illness, is a drunk and a drug addict. He became a mormon (enough said) just so he could marry his wife. He just milks the right wing fools for all they are worth, as someone like a Beck would never make it on the left.
If you are referring to Ronald's Reagon son, he is very much a liberal. I have heard Ronald Reagon was really a liberal himself too.

Ron Jr , was a celebrity as a ballet dancer , and tried to embarrass the family every chance he got , with his interviews and books. I guess his dancing was good .
Most 15 yr-old is not politically cognizant enough to form an ideology that sways him one way or another. I doubt Beck was thinking about the impact of universal healthcare as an alcoholic teen.
But yes, no question the sad event that took place in his mid-teen had a lot to do with him being a conservative in his adult years. And yes, he is, by any stretch of the imagination, off the bonker. There are some religious and rich people who are "off the bonker" and Beck is clearly one of them.
Knowing the tragedy that he went thru, I actually cut Glenn Beck a lot of slack simply for not turning into a mass murderer. He did turn out to be a paranoid curmudgeon but that's probably the best outcome given the circumstance. He learned to channel his internal hate towards the liberals and blame them for the problems that he had. Which is just fine by me. Anyone who actually believes Glenn Beck is beyond help to begin with, and anyone sane really don't care about him.
