Liberals of all varieties have gone completely off the rails. From Harry Reid, to the entire MSNBC (mega corporations) media. They have become the most deceitful, hateful and vitriolic people on the planet, and the American voter is taking notice.
Liberals claim to be tolerant, but are lying to themselves.
Gays must be embraced in the name of inclusiveness. Conservatives must be shunned.
P*** on a picture of Jesus and you are an artist. P*** on a Koran and you are an Islamaphobe. Embrace Christianity and you are a dangerous proponent of theocracy.
If you are black or a woman running for office, that alone is a sufficient qualification for election. Unless you are a conservative, in which case they think you are never qualified; in fact, you are a traitor who must be stopped at all costs.
If your views fit within the liberal framework, you will be welcomed. But if not, you will be attacked in the most hostile ways.
That is in part because a large percentage of liberals do not want a debate on the truth. They are losing the debate on the truth. So they want to stop debate.
The OP still doesn't get that the Tea Party has never been about social issues.
This entire thread is a strawman, since the OP hopes that people who are not informed will believe the lie that the Tea Party is "changing" its position.
It is not.
The Tea Party was founded as a reform movement inside the Republican Party with the objective to return the GOP to fiscal conservative principles.
It was a direct response to the financial excesses during the Bush administration.
The Tea Party is a grass roots movement with no leadership, which values lower taxes that will fund a smaller, constitutionally limited government, fuel a strong economy with robust job production, and seeks a transparent and accountable government.
Its base consists of young mothers and fathers raising families.
Any other description of the Tea Party or its objectives is just left wing propaganda being spread by people who don't like the idea of small, constitutionally limited government - or people who have been brainwashed by the left wing media.
Harrier has always been in favor of not only the legalization of marijuana but the legalization of all drugs.
It is no one's business what substance one chooses to put in their own body.

Excellent explanation of what the tea party stands for. ^^^
Imagine that, Liberals say wanting lower taxes, robust jobs market, small and accountable government is a bad thing. Why, because they want the exact opposite. Obama "hates" them.
No so crusty and no hoverounds there.
Did you hear? They told John McCain he was too old to attend.
Prohibition and making pot illegal, was not a Conservative idea. It is Progressive to the core of control.
DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!! Honestly, as a libertarian I grow tired of the misconception that pro legalization of cannabis is only a liberal stance.
