Wow can't believe what I'm watching. According to the union boss Apple is obligated to invest in America and if it doesn't it is unpatriotic. Silly me I thought Apple had a fiduciary duty towards its shareholders.

When Apple was a "nobody niche" no one cared.
Now all of a sudden Apple needs to do something ?

Where was the outcry when Microsoft was top dog raking in millions and offshoring at the same time ?

Guess those unions are jealous...programmers don't belong to unions

Lol! Yeah! If he's so concerned about not investing enough, why doesn't he practice what he preaches and pay more in taxes?

If they had the $70 billion in a foreign bank, he might have a case. But if Apple doesn't want to invest in job-creating enterprises directly, the banks will do it for them.

Lol, when Apple was trading at $30, was the union unpatriotic for not being tons of it stock? or better yet they and their members should only have bought Apple products. What are they? UnAmerican?

Well it must be time to unionize Apple then. Someone's gotta waste that money, and nobody wastes money better than a union.

What's ironic is if these companies did as Mr. Hoffa suggests much of the investment would still bypass union dominated states.

Union chief calls Apple 'unpatriotic' for not hiring more workers - TheHill.com

Quote:
Hoffa singled out Apple Inc., calling them “unpatriotic” on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday. “Every time they do something, they do it in China, they do it somewhere else,” Hoffa added.

“We owe an obligation to America, let’s put America back to work,” he said.Hoffa suggested that too much attention has been paid to what the president and lawmakers can do to boost the economy and called for increased pressure on business to contribute to the effort.

“What obligation does American business have?” he asked. He called on corporations to “start spending some of that money here in America.”

The Left, anti-corporate, anti-business unions goons have no idea what that is.
