Why not create a special Food Stamp menu that has healthy meal choices? Better yet, why not open up school cafeterias to those on Food Stamps? Students would have exclusive use during their scheduled meal breaks, but anyone else could use them outside of those hours.
Not a bad idea. jUst like using old miltary bases to house the homeless, they have mess halls.
so what? does that mean she shouldn't care we have a nation of obese kids. was mrs. kennedy an interior decorator? that didn't stop her from beautifying the WH. not being a landscape architect disn't stop lady bird from planting flowers on our freeways. mrs carter, not a doctor but worked for mental health. the list goes on an on. you guys gripping about this petty stuff only shows you don't have anything truly worth posting.

Makes me wonder. How much does it cost to provide a breakfast to the 1 in 4 children going hungry (or 1 in 3 in Texas)....as opposed to a tax break for a hedge fund manager who just screwed you out of your 401K.....it must be bankrupting us.....milk is SO expensive....

First off..children have WIC, food stamps and 3 meals in schools so tell me how any child could be hungry ?

seriously you wonder how many children can be hungry? 1 in 4 are hungry. many slip through the cracks, children of working poor or working poor single women. not all schools feed children.
