Note: I am putting this here and not in the religion forum because it is a direct response to another thread here.
Mmmm. Yea, The other thread. I refrained from comment on the latter, but my comments here should cover both. My personal interpretation of the New Testament is that our Lord and Savior held no malice for any sinner. All he asked was that His sacrifice be honored by accepting Him in our hearts and in turn be forgiven our sins. We ALL are sinners, in one way or another. To argue exactly what sin would make Christ not allow his grace and forgiveness is just....wow. Just a baiting /counterbaiting mud wallow, are these "What would Jesus Do" threads. Nuf said...

Yes, we are all sinners, but the the question was about a person who was an unrepentent sinner, who was still practicing his sin habitually and willfully with no intention of stopping. Would Jesus have chosen such person to represent Him? The obvious answer is no, because such person rejects Jesus and salvation.

It's really not my place to question what Jesus would have done. I wouldn't even question it if he asked an unrepentant sinner to follow him because I wouldn't even pretend to know what the future held.
