About half of the married couples in the US are NOT raising children.
About 30% of lesbian couples and 20% of gay couples ARE raising children.
Gay and lesbian couples also have extended families.
So basically your argument is that gay and lesbian couples raising children can go jump, but straight couples with no children can get all the rights, benefits and protections.

So I take it that the fact that the SCOTUS called marriage a "basic right of man" 40 some years ago means nothing to you?
He's been told that countless times, but apparently since a marriage license costs money for administrative fees, it's not a "right" no matter what the SCOTUS says.

Agree, they are two different concepts.
And it begs the question: Why are they always lumped into the same "LGBT community"?
Because they all share the same goals for equality, dignity, and understanding. And all deal with orientation or gender identity issues, so it made sense for them to band together as a group.

Transgender doesn't necessarily mean transsexual. Transsexuals are the ones who believe they were born in the wrong body and seek to fix it through surgery. All transsexuals are transgender. Not all transgenders are transsexual.
Marriage is between a man and a woman, period.
I am for nothing less than civil unions with full rights for same-sex couples.

The only "pushing" I see is from the other side - those who make the claims that two moms with a couple of kids or two dads with a few kids aren't a family. I can go along with most of that. But sensitivity training is just that - teaching people to treat other people as people. If parents did more of that with their children while raising them, there might be less need of it in the workplace, the schools and such.

The church and/or its members may state an opinion. But God loves every one of us. Homosexuality is a sin, as is premarital sex--for example--depending on the church.
Homosexuals in church are no different from any other sinners in those pews, and their sin is between them and God. It is not for me to preach to anyone how God feels about any of his children.
And this Christian is going to disagree - in 50 years of Bible study, I've found no evidence that how one is born can be any kind of sin. And one is definitely born homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual or other. It is not a choice, it does no harm to others, thus it is not a sin.
Nope you don't. There are countless pastors and Sunday School teachers who regurgitate the same tired, flawed, out of context explanations of the Bible. Most Christians know nothing about the Bible. You're no different. You don't even understand basic science. I seriously doubt your qualifications for teaching something as complicated as Biblical hermeneutics. So, feel free to keep exalting yourself up to God's throne, but I don't trust a word you say.
