What about losing 700,000 in December of that year? 2008 was the third worst Stock Market Year in history. Gas was 4 dollars in the Summer of 08. The housing market crashed in 2008.

We know we aren't "getting a scapegoat". What we got was a light-weight who thought he had all the answers but didn't. Come to think of it.....that's what you got, too.
If this is the level of discourse to which the dems have descended (and it appears to be so more and more by the day) then the next election's gonna be a cakewalk for Patriots.
I know you guys think you do, but the right has no ownership on "Patriotism". The right wingers were the ones blindly cheering the Cowboy Puppet along, as this country went from incredible highs to incredible lows. They were the ones practically accusing people of treason, or saying people hated the troops if they brought up indisputable facts (like there being no ties between Al Qaeda and Saddam) about the Iraq War. You guys lost all credibility, and any shred you may have somehow held on to, was lost in the past two and a half years. As over stated as "Bush's fault" is, you guys were saying "DERES NO WAYZ IT CAN BE BUSH FAULT ALL BAMAS" like two months into Obamas Presidency. That alone makes it clear you never gave him a chance.
Oh, and these fake Libertarians known as the Tea Party are some of the most hypocritical Christians I've ever seen. Way to live up to what that book teaches you...
