Depends on where she is. Is this a gun event, who knows. Is she going to a high school football game. Makes a difference.

Semi-automatic.

Why does everyone think an AK or an AR are fully automatic.

Because they are clueless as US gun ban history as well as to that which the AWB actually addressed. "Assault Weapons" make everything sound scary and "full auto" though the liberals who wrote the laws addressed semi-auto.

From the sub-capacity magazines and A-2 stocks I wonder if this photo of the girls was taken in CA or MA?

that depends on how the M16 was being carried. if slung over the shoulder, there should be no issue. if carried at the ready though as if one were on a scouting mission, then there might be an issue. too bad the military has indoctrinated you so thoroughly against packing heat on a regular basis.

Thanks for the clarification as to where the photo was taken. Lucky girls. Wish we had more access to select fire here for law abiding citizens. Talk about a price bubble in the USA on those things!

I don't think they are discriminated against. If open carry is legal, I can't imagine why it would bother anyone. Concealed weapons are much more dangerous and likely to cause harm.

There are some places where you cannot carry a gun, concealed or open. Federal buildings, bars, etc. But as far as I know, the law is applied equally regardless of whether the weapon is concealed or open.
