Obama knows it won't pass. He just wants to be able to deflect blame for the economy to the Republican-led House. Obama could actually win re-election if he pulled a Bill Clinton and moved to the center by repealing most of the unpopular elements in Obamacare, removed the threat of SEC takeover from small (non-Wall Street) banks, and dropped his tax increase plans. He won't do it though because his rigid leftist, statest idology is more important to him even than winning a second term. He is a true believer. Either that or he's too stupid to see the electoral train that's about to run him over.

He sounds like someone who doesn't want the Bill explored in it's entirety. It brings back visions of Nancy Pelosi saying that we need to pass the Obamacare bill and then we can see what it contains.

More leftist drivel.....I'll give you that for the last 180 days the right has not passed a budget, but what about the OTHER 800+ days the LEFT did nothing but spend and spend....and they had the house and the senate....and still did not pass a budget....must suck having all the power and still cannot pass budget....

It's amazing the stuff spewed on this board...

To 'pass the bill', it first has to be in the House of Representatives as a bill. As of today, 1248 hrs, the bill has not been introduced by any of the 435 representatives.

obama 'jobs bill' wont even create any private secor jobs....but it does INCREASE GOVERNMENT with the creation of a new department

Let 'we the people' decide...

Where we want to live (see the preposterous social engineering nonsense going on in Westchester County, NY as the WSJ recently pointed out) in the name of 'affordable housing'

What kind of vehicles we'd like to drive

Where corporations (such as Boeing) can place their business in a beneficial manner for their employees and shareholders

Which media sources we wish to utilize for information

How we'd like to spend our $$$$ on health care, and save trillions of dollars collectively by doing so without government mandates sending costs into the stratosphere by limiting choices

If we want to join a union and have a portion of our wages confiscated (straight out of Hitler's playbook) for their agenda and purposes as opposed to ours

There are tons of others, but you get the idea.....
