i doubt that the pressure exerted by the feds on banks to give bad loans was a obama monopoly.
that has been DC dem behavior for some time.
to be fair-- it was bush that demanded the AIG bailouts, not obama.
i think we are seeing the result of way too much EEOC action. sticking its snout in the affairs of the business community in the name of social justice.

AIG is the insurance company that insures lots of our debt. They had to be protected.

The scenario is almost laughable. This was a long term goal (to spread the wealth), and what better way than to force banks to make bad loans, then bail out the banks (with our money), and then all but pay off those bad loans (with our money), and then sue the banks for pennies on the dollar -- effectively covering their tracks and pleasing the sheep in the process.

It was nothing more than buying votes from the gutter. We are at the tipping point -- with 42m voters on food stamps, and 22% of the people on some form of welfare -- they'll all be voting liberal to protect their meal tickets. Liberals must be salivating at the prospect of a one-party government, and they are so close. If Obama is re-elected, then any hopes of honest elections in this country are gone.

They screwed EVEYONE eyes wide open.

Spreading the wealth is a ridiculous idea. Why would anybody want most Americans to be well to do, when it has been historically proven that the fewer there are with wealth, the better it is for the populace and the country, and its governance.

I agree, concentration of wealth in the hands of the few... the mantra of the right wingers, sounds more sensible. After CRA is about trying to make poor people acquire wealth and real Americans certainly don't want that.
