We should be buying at the closest Walgreens.

As long as the demand keeps growing, they'll all keep selling.

Everyone has their hand in the till because there is a lot of money being made at every level in this country, and the threat isn't coming just from our borders.

It's pretty much a free-for-all.

Yes, like I said. Whenever you outlaw something that people want, you create a black market and black markets attract criminals.

If we outlawed fishing poles how long do you think it would be before organized crime moved into the fishing market?

Some day these "do gooders" will realize that there is no reason for government to tell us how to live our lives and doing so creates more problems than it solves.

You won't stop the cartels but you will weaken them enormously. The Drug War in Mexico is predicated on US DEMAND. Legalize drugs (or at least some of them), and that demand decreases significantly, and the cartels lose power. What is hard to understand about that?

It's not that simple. It's easy to blame Mexico for all these problems, but we share at least an equal part in the blame for our own consumption habits, laws, and lack of border control. Mexico at least sent in their military. What are we doing?

God forbid we send in our military. How do you think that would play?

What drugs are people suggesting be legalized to halt crime?

I understand marijuana, cocaine, etc., but what about those prescribed narcotics for pain, such as Oxycodone? Apparently lots of crime going on connected with people wanting this drug (drug store robberies are zooming up). Would all such narcotics simply be available in the open market place?
