Though I am kind of curious...if a higher-ranked male gets "sir" and a higher-ranked female gets "ma'am"...what's the term going to be for higher-ranked gender-bending members?
Maybe being gay is something one is born with but I think that most of those mentioned in this story got to be the way they are through choice and nothing else.
WHA-WHA-WHA-WHA-WHAT?
Did you just admit that perhaps gay people are born gay like heterosexuals are born heterosexual?
SRSLY?
I've followed your posts and I'd never have expected something so .... progressive ... from you.
Who are you really, and what have you done with Roy?

You do know that the APA which yielded to political pressure brought to bear by the gay protesters who invaded their conferences in the early 1970s and has continued bending to the will of well organized sexual deviants has recently admitted they really have no idea why one person is a heterosexual and another a heterosexual?
They have disowned the gay gene and born gay theories and may even be poised to do some real scientific research instead of adjusting the science to fit the wishes and desires of those impacted by it. We can only hope.
There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors.

I meant the maybe to be part of the statement since I am not so sure about the born thing. However, I do know that those transgenders aren't born that way.
I do wonder if the military people will allow those new people to determine what uniforms look like and how barracks look. I wish they had to stay in those old WW II barracks that we used in the middle 50s.
OMG!
WHO ARE YOU?
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH ROY?
Is he tied up in the attic and are you feeding him rats?
(Bonus points for those of you who get the reference!)
So you admit that gays may have been born gay and now you're wishing that your barracks would have been decorated better?

So. You're "not so sure" about the being-born-gay thing ..?
How can I convince you, sweetheart?
If being gay is a choice, please tell us all about how you weighed your options and chose to be a heterosexual.
If being gay is a choice then I can't see any reason why being heterosexual isn't a "choice".
Please share with us Roy!
I sincerely want to hear your story. No snark intended or implied. I am respectfully asking you to share the story of how you came to the decision to be a heterosexual.
Being Gay is 99.8% a choice in my opinion.
They should not be in the military at all.
