So it's almost official, that an agreement has been reached between Hamas and Israel. No numbers are given in this article, but I have seen others that state Hamas will release captured soldier Gilad Schalit in exchange for 1000 Palestinian prisoners.
Some may remember in 2008 Israel released 5 highly dangerous and convicted killers for the REMAINS of 2 soldiers killed and captured by Hezbollah. I am sure if Hezbollah had managed to capture live Israeli soldiers (and kept them alive) the price would be much higher than 5 Arabs to release them.
There have been many other prisoner exchanges between Israel and Arab countries or terrorist groups which would be considered uneven by most people.
So does this constitute a devaluation of Arab life by the very people who state they are fighting for their cause? Why do Arab leaders value their peoples' lives so little?

Its the reverse. Israelis value their citizens so much more.
Since we still don't have a POL on Shalit, lets hope they get him back alive. Because if Israel gets back another dead body this time, Israel will make Hamas pay for it dearly.
remember the rocket attacks in Northern Israel? Well, majority if the inhabitants of Northern Israel are Arab. Ain't it ironic? Israeli army attacks Lebaneses rocket positions to defend Arabs?

I'm not sure if it's correct to say the majority of the north is Arab. The region is mixed, with many Jewish and many Arab/Druze towns, plus mixed cities like Haifa and Acre. But this does show that extremists do not discriminate when it comes to killing. No one kills more Muslims than Muslims. This is true in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Lybia, Syria and pretty much everywhere in this part of the world.

That says to me that one Israeli life is worth 1,000 Palestineans.
But hey, they're gonna take as MUCH as they can get.
I guess those Palestineans don't see that the lives of 1,000 Palestineans are worth 1 Israeli life.
