Who's behind the Wall St. protests? - Yahoo! News

Quote:
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Anti-Wall Street protesters say the rich are getting richer while average Americans suffer, but the group that started it all may have benefited indirectly from the largesse of one of the world's richest men.
Soros, of course.

Quote:
But Reuters did find indirect financial links between Soros and Adbusters, an anti-capitalist group in Canada which started the protests with an inventive marketing campaign aimed at sparking an Arab Spring type uprising against Wall Street.
Really now? Who knew this - that an anti-capitalist group in Canada thought up the protests?

Quote:
Adbusters, whose magazine has a circulation of 120,000 and which is known for its spoofs of popular advertisements, came up with the Occupy Wall Street idea after Arab Spring protests toppled governments in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, said Kalle Lasn, 69, Adbusters co-founder.
So...this is just a communist/socialist plot...NOT the grassroots pure "movement" we have been hearing from the democrats?

This is really NO surprise.

Because it's a manufactured, contrived "movement" to deflect from the failed policies of the obama administration. For many months, the Left has been trying to gin up enthusiasm on their side of the aisle, especially after the humiliating defeat in WI. Americans, REAL Americans, are NOT anti-capitalists.

As Newt said, if you want to blame someone, blame the politicians who made the rules and regulations.

Yes, because it's so hard to conceive that our economic system isn't completely flawless. Get a grip.

Some would contend that promoting socialism/communism would be compounding "the mess". Therefore interests which are promoting those ends would be working against the best interest of most Americans.

1. The "mess we are in" was promoted by wild fiscal Keynesian spending

2. The 'mess we are in" was promoted by liberal mandates for loans to unqualified home buyers.

3. The "mess we are in" was promoted by poor trade agreements with China and Mexico.

The "solution" is not to turn to a marxist state, which always results in economic misery and subjugation of the people. The nation was not built on socialism and looking toward that end for prosperity is looking into an empty bag of solutions.

Why don't the protesters get a good education, work hard, and make a living? I have little respect for whiners who try to blame others for thier situation. They should be blaming themselves, rather than busying themselves with protesting and defecating in public.
