This (quite valid observation) isn't about government. It's about human nature.

Heck, that's why the elders of the past invented religion.
same same.

The higher the density of the population, the more liberal and the less free it becomes. The New England States are a perfect example, but it also holds true for any major metropolis.

As far as Libertarians are concerned, they are just closet anarchists so no amount of government would suffice.

Just let Alaska secede from the Union before you divide the lower-48 into three parts. I like it here and want no part of what the lower-48 has to offer.

FYI, The Fed Govt, yeah that's right, the Fed Govt you seem to hate, bought and paid for Alaska (meaning the people of the lower states, not Alaska) in 1867. If you leave, we want the return on our investment and then some.

Seriously, the threads on this forum are getting so crazy. People here casually discuss the end of the US like it we lead to some utopia. If the people on this forum represent the majority of Americans viewpoint on this there is no hope. You will all get what you wish for. Sad. It aint' gonna be pretty no matter how it goes down.

As I recall, the purchase of Alaska at the time (for a mere $0.02 per acre) was called "Seward's Folly." And as far as return on your great-grandparent's investment, because it certainly was not yours, it has been repaid several thousand fold just in the oil we provide you lower-48ers, not to mention the billions in gold, lead, zinc, copper, timber, and salmon that has been produced in Alaska.

The end of the US is inevitable. No hegemony lasts forever. The liberal freaks will ensure the downfall of the US because the American voter is too stupid to comprehend how their own government functions.
