Let every man make known what kind of government would command his respect, and that will be one step toward obtaining it- HDT

Please, list 5 things you would change about the US government and 5 things you love about the US government. Please no spin, but I would like theories on how it works, and the goal. For instance if you say "lower taxes" tell us why you want that, and why you think that would work and how you would go about doing it. If you say "Universal Health Care";the same. Try not to attack the positions of others. I'll try first

After Action Review
Improves
1. Education- pay teachers more, higher more, no super long summer break, closer teacher-parent relationships, educate the parents, no teaching to tests, abolish strict age-grade levels(we need to teach concept, not the equation), promote curiosity

2. The way we elect officials- I do not trust people that seek power. I feel that they think they won't be corrupted and are naive, or simply power hungry. We need scientists, and true public servants in power( it should be a real burden to hold public office). the 2 billion dollars that went into presidential campaigning is absurd.

3. Police- What do you think would happen if you gave an 18 year old a gun and a badge and said save the world? Year after year police kill more innocent people than people kill police. The best of the best should be the police, and they need life experience, perspective and intelligence. I don't think that flicking off a cop warrants anything more than being ignored because you're a jerk.

4. Leave the people alone- let them carry, let them marry

5. Action with consent- A bad guy treats his/her people wrong? Ask the people what they want. Soldiers only need to lose their lives in defense of people, not resources. Consent by the American people, by the other countries people. And not MANUFACTURED consent, informed consent.

Sustains
1. Freedom of information- I can ask questions of the government without being taken out back and shot in the head

2. leveling of the standard of living- Alexis De Tocqueville loved how equal Americans are. Every child needs a strong foundation regardless of how crappy their parents may be, social programs, I think, encourage that

3. US Military- we do terrible things and we need to downsize and fix a lot of our problems, but the world would be worse without it

4. Opposing parties- social selection says the best idea wins, we need ideas from everywhere to truly learn

5. Strong Center- I think the federal government needs to be much much smaller, but when it makes a decision, on the few things it should make a decision on, it should apply universally. For instance the gender/race disparity in executions needs to be resolved swiftly as a national unit.

Just cut the corruption with significant penalties for government and government related criminals.

Now shields.

Would probably need para-executive citizen prosecutors and juries.

1. Replace President with Sultan.
2. Cleanse the idiot South.
3. Import new, morally upright people to live in the cleansed South.
4. Re write constitution to be in line with Divine Laws
5. Limit voting rights to those with graduate degrees and make sure all candidates are vetted to ensure moral and ethical standards.

All of you would have to pay tribute to me unless I granted a waiver.
