I watch Fox news but if I had Direct TV I would NOT cancel over this. Recently Fox has drifted liberal. They cancelled Glenn Beck, Shep Smth has been openly expressing his liberal opinions. Also they have been giving a lot more coverage to fluff stories about babies missing. I consider Fox just another typical liberal part of the MSM.

It's really sad. I understand both sides of the argument., Fox DOES need to make a certain revenue stream, however, being carried on cable and satellite, increases it's viewer base, thus increasing their commercial revenue stream. The larger the audience, the more they can charge for commercials. They shouldn't be trying to shakedown signal providers, but the carriers should also offer a legitimate contract that benefits both parties.

Like I said, carrying any major station is a benefit to both parties, but when the network TV station overcharges the cable or satellite provider, the people who end up paying is the end user, whether they watch fox or not, because the provider has to increase their charges across the board to all their subscribers.

BTW affected stations are

The channels that could be affected include FX, National Geographic Channel, SPEED, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer Plus, Fox Movie Channel, FOX Deportes, and 19 regional sports networks.

The Fox broadcast network and Fox News Channel are not expected to get yanked because they are covered under separate affiliate agreements with the satcaster, but a spokesman for Fox Networks said it is possible they could be affected if the conflict escalates. The broadcast network is currently airing the World Series in primetime.

Big impact for those Fox viewers out in rural area...awwww.

DirecTV may pull plug on Fox shows | The Raw Story

1. We have cable

2. We don't watch Fox news

Now if they were going to stop showing college football (or the Packers), that would be something to worry about.

Good! Here in Boston satellite dishes are the equivalent of graffiti or trash strewn streets. The sooner these types of television transmission go out of business the better.

Don't care about Fox News. I never watch it simply because they are trouble starters!

I love Direct-TV mainly because of Sunday NFL TICKET

Thanks for the head's up. I'll be contacting DTV and letting them know that if they pull the pulg on FOX that they will be losing this customer.

I'm glad that we have DISH! Though we went through the same thing last year. I'm sure it will get worked out.
