"The pamphlet says that members of the protest group who believe they are victims or who suspect sexual abuse “are encouraged to immediately report the incident to the Security Committee,” which will investigate and “supply the abuser with counseling resources.”

OWS Pamphlet Discourages Rape Victims from Contacting Police « Commentary Magazine

Where are the women lib groups speaking out against this?

Report it to the security committee? Since when does a "movement" need a security committee?

So if someone is assulted, they tell the SC, and the SC provides counseling services for the offender and the victim. Nice.

All this hippie stuff sounds great on the chalkboard, but when you start dealing with the fact that not everyone is wired the right way, prolems develop.

They are all having freak love with each other anyway.

Who cares?

Ooh, Baby, let's BLANK Wall Street. OH, Baby, screw me because I love it when you tell me "That You HATE Bankers".

Make me feel it when you tell me how much you want to shove it up the crevices of job creators.

I will live and die in this place we call "Some park in some city". So that I will never have to work.

I support the message about getting big business out of elections, and I support the OWS movement, but managing their "community" issues is much different than their efforts to address problems in government. They need to stay out of this and let rape advocacy organizations and the police do their job.

This is either fake (as in the work of an insincere outsider seeking to discredit) or astonishingly evil.

This is the sort of thing you might have seen from their neanderthal unenlightened '60s counterparts, but it's particularly bad to see it today, if it is real.

Great Idea. Report the rape to some vegan hippie playing pretend security guard who will then do a pretend investigation. Will this be followed by a pretend trial and a pretend sentence of the perp having to take a time out behind the laundry pile?
