Please post a quote from Schiff where he said something negative against the United States.

This video exposes the arrant stupidity and ignorance of the masses who blame the "rich" capitalists for their sorry situation.

Why the " "? Are you trying to imply that people who make tens or hundreds of million dollars a year aren't rich?

Yeah, we do. The root of the problem lies, as usual, with government interference and Democrats' misguided social engineering to achieve equal outcomes manipulation.

Government interference and the Democrats

A reason why so much propaganda is allowed to float is because people aren't able to rationalize the issues. They're always looking to blame the other side.

The root of the problem lied in corruption and greed.

You should research the issue independently. The ones who robbed this country are still walking free.

That's the propaganda you've been fed.

Read my links. I did research the issue independently and it led directly to the CRA and the Clinton admin's HUD. Mozilo knows. The government knows. That's why Mozilo got only a minor wrist slap and is walking free to this day.

It is a tad ironic that he recalls the 1950's with fondness given that was the peak of organized labor and the corporate tax rate was 50%. Despite the perceived prosperity of that time, 20% of the pout ion lived in dire poverty.

Well there was so many things that went on in that time frame thinking back that you really have to break each issue down independently.

As far as the Housing Crisis goes, I'll have to research what your talking about. What I'm talking about is all of the fraudulent behavior that went on at the time. There was widespread fraud that took place when the market tanked and many of the banks were cheating people out of their homes. Telling them they hadn't received paperwork when they had. Evicting people who had never missed a payment and/or people who had made payments to get them current on their loan.

That's some of the stuff I'm talking about.

Why are they locking up petty thieves when they won't go after the big dogs?

Like no doc liar loans? Exactly. The Clinton Admin's HUD endorsed that in an agreement with Countrywide to provide loans to those who otherwise would not qualify for them.

Countrywide knew they were issuing crap loans at HUD's request, as did other lenders. Knowing they were crap loans and likely to default (which they did) they bought derivatives that would pay off when exactly that happened. Next thing you know, the high-risk loans the government insisted banks make started to default en masse, and took down whoever was on the bad side of the derivatives bet. AIG ring a bell?
