I'm glad there are others out there who were as horrified as I was to see the snuff/torture film of Gaddafi being transmitted all over the globe. What has this world come to? Aren't the supposedly civilized countries of the world better than this? Revenge and justice are not the same, and if this kind of action is supported by our government and its citizens with no outcry, we are no better than the dictators we keep killing. Well, I believe it was. Even if by some wild chance, it was not, that doesn't change my point. We, as a nation, are becoming desensitized and beastly, and we continue to walk away from true justice and law. We are going to end up no better than collapsing Rome. We glorify violence, brutal competition, and vigilante-style vengeance. Our pop culture spews this ideology from the airwaves in movies, shows, and music around the world. After seeing what the US condones, the rebels and the gangs will only become stronger and more energized. The world is following our lead.
What happened to liberty and justice for all? What happened to love conquers all? What happened to the truth?

Then this video hit the net.
Then governments were silent.
Then there were some half-assed calls for an "investigation" that went nowhere.
Then everyone shrugged their shoulders and moved onto the next crisis of the day and let this die.

I just don't understand why we laugh about this stuff. Does America want justice or revenge? Does anybody know the difference?
