From Frank Miller:

The “Occupy” movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment. “Occupy” is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.

I thought he was talking about one of his movies like Sin City.

Um... So?

R. Crumb speaks highly of OWS. Is there some special significance attached to the views of comics artists/authors?

glad to see Crumb is still doing his thing. Seems to me that most creative people are of a liberal/open-minded/non-conformist/anti-establishment mentality conducive to innovation. They create the formulas & techniques (like impressionism, expressionism, etc) which come under attack at first then are extolled by "critics" later on (after the initial knee-jerk reactions).
Yet, some talents (like Al Capp) who meet with prosperity put themselves in a plutocratic bubble of disdain for others who are not as "talented" or prosperous as they are.
Note the disdain for "liberal Hollywood types" in certain quarters.
