No.
I have heard a few talking about wanting to succeed from the nation. But I have not heard of any state truly debating the idea of succession.
Plus we have gone through this before. If any group of states decides to peacefully leave then the Union will declare an un-provoked war and invade with armies. The USA is like the mafia, once your in you can not get out. Anyone who tries to get out will be attacked and killed.
The other problem I see with staging a civil war is where do you draw the lines?
Previously it was the cultural differences between industrial states and agricultural states. A line was easily drawn between Industrial / Agricultural states.
Today what state would want to side against another?
NY against NJ?
GA against FL?
The differences today are not pitting states against each other.
Today you have a percentage of citizens who want the government to leave them alone, to lower taxes, and to lower benefits to non-workers.
You also have another percentage of citizens who want higher taxes and bigger government to provide a guaranteed minimum-income to all non-workers, free [though rationed] healthcare, free housing, and free education.
These two groups are not geographically separated. Both live side-by-side.
Any form of line-drawing would be a checker-board, down to the neighborhood level. Randomly located red-houses, some standing by themselves, and others located in clusters; and randomly located blue-houses some by themselves, and some in clusters.
Most homes would be neutral, only choosing a color because they would be forced to declare when they find they are surrounded by one color.
This makes forming armies difficult as well as deploying supply lines.
I do not see anyway that we could develop this into a civil war.
