In 10 yrs about 3000 people died as a result of terrorism in this country ( 911 devided by 10 yrs) That roughly 300 per yr.
18,000+ die every yr from the common flu. If I told you we needed to spend $500 billion annualy to wipe out the common flu , you would tell me Im clean out of my friggen head, and you would be correct.
Economically, spending that kind of dollars on conquering the flu virus, would increase productivity and be well worth the investment.
