While not excusable, in Afghanistan, our military has a "you only eat what you kill" policy for our troops (it is too expensive to ship "MREs" that far away). That is what was going on here.

Killing an animal for food is one thing but these guys seemed to be doing it for amusement. I don't care where you live, that's is just plain sick.
Regardless of what is done in other countries, the soldiers had the option of walking away. Nobody can tell me they had to stand there and laugh.
We already know the world is full of "cultures" who thrive on bloodlust and torture. As Americans and especially US military, I expect more. I expect people to carry the same norms we have on our soil into another country. Being around savages doesn't give you the right to act like one yourself.
I have several military in my family and I can tell you that the majority of military folk are appalled by this and acts such as this. I don't want to see the military itself take heat over this. Only if they do nothing about it.
That is a bad way of killing a sheep. It spoils the meat and a lot of appetites.
