People should not fall for the 1%ers generational warfare strategy. They have the majority of the pie and have begun to pit the senior citizens receiving ss and medicare against younger middle class and unemployed workers to fight out who gets the scraps.

Major news outlets like The Washington Post and National Public Radio constantly bombard us with news pieces on the budget deficit. Invariably these stories focus on the cost of "entitlements," which most of us know as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. The story pounded home in these pieces - often explicitly - is that these programs, that primarily benefit the elderly, are creating the basis for a generational war between the young and the old.

You hit the nail on the head!
Some people don't see the "created divide" that we have in this county.

Dumbass 99%ers don't even know who is screwing them over - a bunch of fat cat globalists and government a-holes who are in the pockets of industry/banks. And the number one person 'screwing over' the 99%ers are the 99%ers themselves...by trying to destroy what makes it feasible to make it big in this country, they bitterly screw themselves out of their own dream.

Making 'whine' out of your sour grapes.[/quote]

Are fat cat globalists and most govt. Aholes not in the top 1%? Certainly not everyone in the 1% are the problem, but the ones that are the problem are in the 1%. You see the difference don't you.

You obviously don't! You are against the 1%ers, but you don't even realize that MOST OF THEM are in the same unlucky boat as the rest of the country - being taken advantage of and being used as pawns in a bigger game run by bigger fish.

If you want to play the 'you see the difference' game, you see the difference between a 1%er and an evil 1%er, don't you? So why discriminate against the whole bunch?

This movement is as stupid as being racist against all black people everywhere just because one black person mugged you. So now you hold all black people responsible? Liberals would be outraged by this mentality...but they perpetuate the EXACT SAME LOGIC in the stupid OWS movement.

Well you make a better argument than many here on CD. At least you choose to argue on the merits. I agree with your logic that many people in the 1% have no hand in the war. There are many professionals and small business owners that have no direct involvement in the manipulation of the govt. and the financial sectors. However, the people in the top 1% have the most ability to effect change as money is power in the U.S.

I've heard of penis envy, but IMO this beats it.

The 1% pay 50% of the taxes, 43% pay no taxes.
I'm far less concerned over the highly taxed 1%.

Every single one of them is involved in charity work (we do some of it together and help each other's causes).

Wrong. we do know that, some of the 99% are educated. We are aware of collusion between Wall St and Congress.

But thanks for clarifying your contempt for American citizens.
