The stand pats are just totally useless beings that are saying,"Well things are good for me and mine and even though the country is going to hell in a handbasket I don'r care to change things as long as I'm getting mine.
Yet those "stand pats" you revile support the tax base you need for your vaunted "progressivism"

Really now, money doesn't grow on trees.
They can't fathom the fact that money grows in a capitalist system. In the utopia the left progressives envision, it's taken from those that earn it to fund a system that's proven it's failed wherever it been tried.
We all need to remember that a smiling progressive is merely a communist in hiding and they sleep with socialists. When it comes down to it (final absolute power) one WILL kill the other to rule. They are just being friendly with each other during the hustle while hiding behind the smiles.

Therefore, "moving forward" in what direction?! is the Trillion Dollar Question in the context of this thread.
Moving forward just for the sake of "progress" is as infantile as many of the things our Legislators do "just for the sake of doing something."
So from this I guess the Rushbots here would rather we regress and move backwards to the glory days of child labor sweat shops, mines/railroads/mills where safety and men's lives were sacrificed on the altar of profit, and the middle class was demonized and targetted for elimnation, eh?

I loved him coming to the one deep part of Democrat fools yesterday to make his speech and love how he told us all that Teddy R. was just as progressive as he is. The crowd was mostly women, men work at that time of day in rural Kansas along with who knows how many school boys and girls. I could tell from all that "spontaneous" cheering that it was mostly female. We all know that kids from 18 - 30 along with women and all blacks elected him and now many of those have seen the light but don't want to take a chance on not getting a good old welfare check someday or tomorrow or whenever.
He couldn't have got by with that speech out here in the western part of our state as he would have been shouted down. I would have probably been carried out for heckling if I had been there.
Neither Marxist or Communist are used in the entire article, so how can this piece be proof that progressive is a "code word" for either?
It is common knowledge that Marxists and Communists joined the Progressives. Know your history. Marxism, Socialism and Communism were all tainted terms. They needed to stay stealthy, so they changed to Progressives.

He said the same things he has always said. Love the "job creaters" myth, my you righties do idolize the rich, pawns usually do.
Why would he bother giving a speech in your part of the state, there aren't two brain cells to rub together among the entire population there. Darn, missed your oppotunity to get arrested, maybe another day.
