It seems that many countries give up on their (monetary) independence. I wonder how such decision can be made without referendum or at least parliamentary vote...
Anyway, some time ago there were many posts on the fact that Sarkozy (and Obama) dislike Netanyahu. Now, he doesn't like David Cameron, but I am sure nobody will bring that as evidence for anything...
Anyway, how and why French and Germans expect the UK to submit to a higher EU authority? They aren't even in the Eurozone. Isn't that preposterous?
We, in the States overestimate Europe, thinking their economy and social situation are so much better. Americans simply don't understand much about the tons of problems Europeans experience.
Europe in general has for worse problems than we in the US ever thought of having.
They are going to have to find a way to prop things up financially if they have any chance of long term survival.
Think again as the US is a half step behind them....... Reserve currency status and free flow printing presses running over time only go so far before the big bang !
The UK has the ability to ask for some help from The US, Canada and Australia.. even it is not a bailout but rather we just give them some better prices when selling them our Natural Gas and other Resources they need at a discounted cost.
Monetary Union? No, at least not in its present form. Nor should it.
