“I always believed” fixing the economy was going to take “longer than one term.”
What he said in 2009:
“Look, I’m at the start of my administration. One nice thing about the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. You know, I’ve got four years. A year from now I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress. But there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”
Of course, NOW he says they didn't know it was so bad...hogwash. When you tell the American people we're on the verge of anther great depression, they KNEW how bad it was.

No kidding. When 0bama took office, he stated that the 2009 economy was "the worst economy since the Great Depression," and it has gotten much, much worse since then.
His party had super majorities in both houses of congress when he took office, which gave him carte blanche to do whatever his little heart desired. which apparently was engaging in crony capitalist, class warfare with secret, closed door meetings and uber political partisanship.
0bama in his own words says essentially - Don't reelect him

Mitt could never beat Obama. Ron Paul WILL beat Obama.
I think the reverse is a more likely scenario. I think Mitt would be a 50/50 favorite to defeat Obama - I say only 50/50 because there would be serious questions about whether conservatives would be motivated to vote at all. But if they did, I think Mitt would win, probably by a margin similar to that of the 2008 election.
