He's also rather expensive to Maricopa County due to his poor treatment of people in his custody - the latest I heard about was a man who is brain-dead due to treatment received during intake. That's going to cost the county.

That's why I don't like him - but I don't call him a redneck POS, I call him a poor excuse for a law enforcement officer.
That is actually a much more descriptive term than "redneck POS"!

I think people need to quit whining about this. Let him investigate, if he finds something, obama will be impeached and removed. (Good Gawd I hope not, because that puts Joe "foot in mouth" Biden in charge!

If he finds nothing, then we can all go on. Why are people so bothered that he is investigating. Only someone with something to hide has anything to worry about.

This was a requirement for Gray's definition of subject to jurisdiction.
Oh?

Here is the direct quote from Justice Gray:

Quote:
The real object of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution, in qualifying the words, "All persons born in the United States" by the addition "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof," would appear to have been to exclude, by the fewest and fittest words (besides children of members of the Indian tribes, standing in a peculiar relation to the National Government, unknown to the common law), the two classes of cases -- children born of alien enemies in hostile occupation and children of diplomatic representatives of a foreign State -- both of which, as has already been shown, by the law of England and by our own law from the time of the first settlement of the English colonies in America, had been recognized exceptions to the fundamental rule of citizenship by birth within the country. Calvin's Case, 7 Rep. 1, 18b; Cockburn on Nationality, 7; Dicey Conflict of Laws, 177; Inglis v. Sailors' Snug Harbor, 3 Pet. 99, 155; 2 Kent Com. 39, 42.
Domicile (permanent or otherwise) is never even mentioned.

Really, DC. You should lie in less easily refutable ways.

This is an idiotic lie. The court "rejected this" because voting is not a privilege or immunity of citizenship in the first place, not because Minor "was not a 14th Amendment citizen" (a conclusion the court never reached at all).

Neither did Article 2.

Why do you repeat the lie that was just destroyed in the post you were supposedly responding to?

Minor (via counsel or otherwise) never claimed 14th Amendment citizenship.

Virginia L. Minor's Petition, Circuit Court of St. Louis County, Missouri, December 1872
Nowhere in that petition does Minor (or her council) ever once "claim 14th Amendment citizenship," make any argument regarding the origin of her citizenship, brief any details or evidence to establish her citizenship, or offer any discussion regarding whether or not women in general or Virginia Minor in particular were citizens.

The Petition proves again that DraggingCanoe is in complete and unblemished error.

Virginia Minor's citizenship was never an issue before the court at any level.

From the postings, his supporters must think he has something to hide and they want to help him.

I've been hating on rednecks since way before Obama

And as you can see, my view of Arpaio was well-established before Obama was the Dem. nominee.

Yawn.....

Do not attribute our entertainment at your persistent failure as anything other than what it is.
