No doubt this extreme punishment for what is not even considered a crime in most parts of the world was influenced by the teachings of Islam. Which causes me to think about religious conservatives here in America who believe that the Constitution should be based off the bible. There are certain scriptures in the bible which calls for the stoning to death of people accused of things like homosexuality and adultery. I am concerned that if religious consveratives gain more power in America they may instill their version of Sharia law here and things like executing people for moral "crimes" may become commonplace.
Interesting provocative use of the word conservative... when it should have said Muslims.
Provocative? Hardly. These people are arch-conservatives who follow a literal translation of the Koran. No different from the arch-conservatives here who believe in a literal translation of the bible. The Middle-East has some of the most conservative societies on earth. One of the reason they hate America is because the consider us to be too liberal.
Lol, I guess we can label all stories about North Korea, as liberal stories!
LoL, but North Korea is not liberal by any stretch of the imagination. North Korean policies is closer to the Republican ideal. They believe in spending all their money on bombs while the population starve to death.

Actually I agree with you on that. The word has just been villainized by the media and attached to the far right here. That said it was an interesting and provocative use. Not necessarily a cut on you.
