Too bad the money comes right out of the SSI program. Why can't Obama lower income taxes permanently for middles class working folks and keep funding SSI. Oh that's right his constituents don't pay any federal income tax so now they won't have to pay SSI tax either.

Yes we can kick it down the road to until next year so they have time to work out the details for a long term budget and how to fund it. There really is no choice at this time, either pass the short term version or impact Millions of Americans and pay he price politically. Guess we are about to find out how stupid, or not, the Repubs in the House really are

No big deal, we can cover that with revenue from the general fund... and it would be better if we did.

Probably because Obama doesn't set the tax rate; that's what Congress does.

Obama's constituents are all Americans.

You think that no Americans pay income taxes?

I reckon they must be hitting the egg nogg a little early in cape coral this year.

The president is supposed to set the agenda, if he isn't too busy golfing.

53% pay taxes, but those aren't Obama's constituents. His campaign strategy is to ignore middle class white workers.

Sure then the folks that pay no income tax could pay no payroll tax too. Then the democrats would have an automatic 47% of the vote. This is all Obama politics.

On top of that it isn't even a cut that goes directly into the pockets of the taxpayer.

This whole thing is a sham by both sides. They intentionally create these short term problems over and over again to keep us all off the fact that every politician (on both sides) is only after votes. Obama is the biggest offender as he says this isn't about politics, and in the same sentence, GOES INTO HIS PARTISAN SPIN! We are becoming the joke of the world as our government slowly dismantles the Constitution.

Unemployment benefits are a lot more than $120. Nice try. As for the tax cuts, let them all end.
