I wonder how often these people collect a paycheck. You know like weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. One says his cable bill is $49 so maybe he gets paid weekly. Here are some of the thousands of stories that have come in to the White House at Obama's request. I wonder what happens after the first 60 days of next year if this law isn't passed again for another 60 days. And then 60 days at a time till at least November.

I can sympathize with those who need the extra $40. I really can. But an extension means that Democrats can NEVER again use "Social Security Raid" as a political stump, considering it is they who insist on "raiding" the SS Trust Fund to pay for this tax cut extension and in this attempt to win votes.

I'm nauseated right now by this whole spectacle. How the **** did we get here?

A thread making fun of poor families, just the thing to put us in the Christmas spirit. Thanks. Reminds me of the Bill Maher Christmas thread.

The law they want extended for all those 60 days has cost the Social Security fund so much that I can't believe the thing passed, in the first place. It has been ripping off the fund for a year and now they want to extend it 2 months or a year, depending on how many months either party thinks are needed to get enough votes next fall.

The Dems will always use Social Security Raid as a political stump because they know that people have very short memories and November is more than 10 months from January.

I am listening to The One handing out his words against the GOP and he is telling some of the very stories I handed out here. He has gone up to 2,000 messages per hour from the 1,000 that my link reported. He is really laying it on thick and hasn't said one word about how much this has cost us all on Social Security. When he talks about payroll tax he means only SS taxes.

Chief, there are many here who want to stop SS and Medicare for all those of us over 70 or so and many of them are far enough from that that they won't care when that age is lowered to 60 or even 55. Stupidity runs rampant at a time like this.

Making fun of? I think it's funny that some poor soul has cable. You don't have cable TV if your poor. Of course I guess one has to define poor. Many sit behind their 52" flat screens with cable of course, talking on their iphone and checking out the window once in a while to make sure the rims on their car are still safe. Rough to be poor in this country sometimes.

They've been stealing the SS funds for so long it's just become normal to em. Hey years from now the money tree will provide. Heck just like obummercare. They've started collecting the fees and the like to pay for it but guess what? It's all just tossed into the general fund to pay for the rest of their nonsense. When the bill comes due Obama won't care.
