I guess that sets a good example to us all. Hey if we don't agree with certain aspects of the law then just don't follow em. This guy needs to get sent packing and fast.

"Obama also objected to Defense provisions in the bill that limit the president's ability to put troops under foreign command and require 30 days advance notice to Congress for any use of the military which would involve more than $100,000 in construction costs. The president also objected to a section aimed at blocking health, climate, auto policy and urban affairs "czars" from being employed by the White House and a provision that bars health officials from advocating for gun control. The signing statement also objects to a portion of the omnibus that limits funding for the Copyright Office.
The statement also objects to numerous unnamed provisions in the bill that would require executive branch officials to clear everyday spending decisions with appropriators.
Of these extra conditions, Obama writes, "our spending decisions shall not be treated as dependent on the approval of congressional committees."

Translation..................I'm Obama I do what I want.

Just cry "humanitarian aid" and you can do whatever the heck you want.
That worked with Libya and will work with any other country he decides he wants to bomb.

He won't agree to the constitutional overrides parts----or are you in favor of allowing congress to continue to erode the constitution by adding these overrides they have no business doing in the first place?

Congress seems quite content with letting the President make decisions for them.

Following the example of W, and Clinton and HW before him. I sooo want to hear from the whiners who are bashing him to justify the previous President's actions.

Rocks. Glass. Houses.

I'm not justifying the previous admin's actions. Apparently you are for the great orator though.

Nobody should be surprised here. The Constitution has pretty much been much been shredded by the last 4 administrations. Reagan was the last president that even used it as a guide.

You are the only one who seems to be screaming "Your guy did it so our guy can too".

At what point does "party" fall on the wayside in favor of what is the RIGHT thing to do ?

I can't believe I'm even replying to this drivel. Wow, an American President is protecting his right to deploy and command troops without congressional approval! That's never been done before right?
