What was the point?

Even though msnbc and some Hollywood lefties tried their best to legitimize the movement, not one politician would dare pick up the mantle of OWS candidate and run under that flag.

Why?

Hopefully for them, they can recruit more people in jail. I suspect a number of them are going to spend some time there this election season.

You're actually kinda right. The OWS movement was almost as big a failure as the GOP teabagger movement, which simply lead to a do-nothing teabagger Congress that resulted in America's credit rating being downgraded, teabaggers in Congress wanting to raise all our taxes while protecting their billionaire benefactors, and not to mention not one GOP presidential candidate has taken up the small government Tea Party mantra.

signed,
a centrist, moderate Democrat

What was the point? For one thing, it got the country off the mindless topic of deficit reduction and put income inequality and the disparity between the ultra-rich and everyone else on the front pages. Without OWS, the following facts wouldn't have emerged:

* The top 1% make 90% of the capital gains. Of those gains, 50% goes to the top 0.1%.
* The top 0.1% earn as much as 150 million Americans.
* The 6 members of the Walton family (WalMart) earn as much as 93 million Americans.
* The top 400 richest Americans pay about 16% in federal income taxes - lower than most workers.

The "movement" has moved "inside" because it is too cold to protest. Or as on organizers says, the movement has problems .."during the winter months when it may be harder to drum up the enthusiasm and resources for outdoor protests." Good thing George Washington and the troops didn't stay inside because of the cold.

The Occupoopers are "limousine protesters", and when it gets a little chilly they opt for mom and dad's heated home. After all, they probably got new smart phones for Christmas and have to sit around and play with them while watching all the football on cable,...and eating mom's home cooking.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!

The Tea Party is busy running congress.

When we get together, we file for permits, pay for portapotties, we clean up after ourselves and we have a message. Most of all, we have the sense to come in out of the rain.

The Tea Party will be a strong voice in the upcoming election and there will be many candidates running as Tea Party candidates.

Where are your OWS candidates?

In the mean time, we're busy working and paying our taxes.

That was all common knowledge.

But if that's your legacy, good for you!

What have you gained? Other than a reputation for being dirty, violent drug addicts?

Where are your OWS candidates?
