Isn't a "gay nativity scene" a hate crime in the first place?
No. "Pro-gay" isn't inherently hating of Christianity. There are gay Christians and many straight Christians who are also supportive of the LGBTQ community.
Really? People freaked out when they saw that nativity saw in California that was encaged in bars.
When I Googled "nativity scene encaged in bars" I came up with nothing, so it must not have been that big of a freak-out. Was it investigated as a "hate crime?"
I'm 90% sure the church the vanalizing themselves for the attention.
A gay minister prosecuted for a hate crime. It would make the story more interesting.
A bet hundreds of nativity scenes are vandalized every year. It's just not news worthy.

We have to add "gay" to everything, don't we?
Why can't gay people just stop with this GAY ___ everything crap. THIS is what people refer to as "shoving it in everyone's face". So, so, so embarassed by these peop.e
Signed,
A depressed gay man
Are you saying that only Christians are allowed to shove things in people's faces? Why should only they be allowed to have all the fun?
OK, so where's the nativity scene? And was this investigated as a hate crime?
Isn't the picture of a nativity scene? (That's what I was told in the thread.)
I don't know if it was investigated as a hate crime, but the point is both sides freak out at the smallest thing done by the other side. One side is always trying to make the other side look worse than they are (like what you're doing here). And both sides are constantly looking for a reason to criticize the other side. Really--conservative or liberal, religious or secular, right-wing or left-wing, Democrat or Republican...we're all the same.
While I'm all for ones 1st amendment rights, I'm also for someone's right to see it as a vulgar display meant to be confrontational.
Exactly! I agree.
