I don't know why there is an extensive argument with the liberals on this.

Voter ID suppresses no one except non-citizens and dead people.

It's common sense. There's nothing to figure out. Either you want to cheat in the elections or you don't.

They are basically the SAME law. Add to that the miniscule difference between whites and non-whites without id. His case is weak, especially so because he approved virtually the identical law in Georgia.

People..I needed to show a photo ID to get a frigging LIBRARY card.
How stupid is this that you can vote and not have to prove who you are.
This country is full of fraud, cheating and abuse. Do you want that to infiltrate our voting ?
Let's not wait until "something happens". Be proactive and put something in place so it doesn't happen.
God knows everything else in this country has been corrupted beyond all help.

They want to. Where would they be without the voter fraud machine of ACORN?

They know this. They want to pretend some form of ID is NOT required for virtually every aspect of out lives. It's just requiring it for voting shouldn't be allowed...all other requirements for ID - A-Okay.

they want to cheat, obviously, and let anybody from anywhere vote in OUR elections.

not to mention that obama loves wasting taxpayer money, so he will probably fight this in every state that tries to implement voter ID.

he is working against the will of most citizens, and i do believe that it will hurt him big-time on election day.

americans are tired of having illegals take over this country with help from the government. we are tired of having to "play by the rules", when others do not.

i can't wait for election day.

to be fair, we should all march across the border and vote in mexico's next election. i know somebody else i would like to see gone....

Well, I did take 7th-grade math in (according to some) pseudosocialist Denmark, so who knows? Just kidding, it's actually basic math. When you subtract two percentages, the difference isn't expressed as a percentage, but in percentage points. Everybody knows this.

Here, a chance to get smarter: Percentage point - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sigh. YOU - not I, you - is arguing that there's no racial difference to speak of, and that Holden knows this. Yet, at the same time, you argue the actions are racially motivated. I know it's important to you that Holden must be a bad guy, but is internal consistency too much to ask for?

Hmm. The right to exercise the most foundational franchise, vs. the right to check out books. I'll take "Specious Comparisons" for $200, Alex.

It's a very valid comparison to show how stupid this entire argument is over our right to vote and making sure it stays intact.

So if you are fighting against this so heavily why are you not out there fighting for minorities to use the library without having to present a photo ID ?
Or banks for that matter to cash a check or open an account ?
Or the airlines to pass through check point charlie ?

i think the relevance is showing how stupid it is that in this country you need a valid picture ID for checking out a book (or today, in my case, buying something at a store with a credit card) yet the president and holder would argue that it isn't even important enough on have on election day-when we do the most important, basic, and fundamental thing that we do in this country-

which is elect representatives who represent US.

Correct. Seems unlikely, but the numbers are there. I think I posted some links upthread.
