This thread really shows where the problems in this country are.
Instead of trying to work together we get caught up in right-wing and left-wing ideologies.
We have now a radicalising of the fringe of both parties.
This is the reason for the irreversible decline of this country.
You better get used to it, it only will go downhill from here.
Soon we will be a 3rd world country. Our politicians have sold us out to the elites.
And the american public is to dumb, uneducated and primitive to get it.

Cafferty is in denial about his own decline.

The radicalization of the fringe is the reason for the decline?

No, not the reason why we are in decline. But the reason why we won't be able to reverse this decline.

Plenty of Americans know we're falling into the crapper that's why the Tea Party and OWS were created because people are beginning to see the writing on the wall.

It's the politicians who are in denial. When was the last time any of them acknowledged we were living in the Great Obama Depression and had any ideas on how to help fix it?

When will the media stop distracting the masses with pop culture "news" and start holding Obama accountable for this economy?

It's the conservatives. Those on the left want progress. Obama and the Democrats have been pushing for HSR and education reform. These progressive initiatives are suppose to reform this country to compete in this global economy. The problem is that old white men(mainly conservatives) don't see that this country needs serious reform.

The media is controlled by the elites. Why would they stop brainwashing and distracting the masses the elites control?

But, the country has been regressing for over a decade now in most ways... why not leave well enough alone. Education was fine until 15 years ago. The global economy is what will destroy America and other nations. Liberals USED to have good ideas that WERE progress. Civil rights, public works projects, TRUE environment saving... What the heck happened? Two words to describe a democrat these days ..POWER HUNGRY (same goes for todays Republican by the way)

Since America's high point in the 1980's we have fallen off the tracks.

Both parties have been culprits in destroying a country that was much better off before to line their own pockets. Culturally, we are dead these days... watch tv or listen to todays white noise that the media calls music for many examples

Although I too wish the U.S. would not get involved in so many military actions worldwide (it's NOT our job or responsibility to be the wrold's police ), think about that very carefully. You're advocating ending a lot of jobs, both military and civilian contractors.

The true welfare class in this economy is the War profiteers and their employees.
That's not what Figure 9 and Table 10 say on page 33, here:

http://www.taxfoundation.org/files/wp1.pdf

Look, again, at where the money is going. ...It's going to support a very large percentage of the population that does not support themselves. The welfare-dependent class is growing exponentially, 3 times the rate of those who have to pay to support them. It's simply not sustainable. The math doesn't lie.

Sorry, the facts directly contradict your agenda.

1980s are what we're paying for today, both in terms of economy and economy... Didn't we just spend well over a trillion dollars and thousands of lives to plug hole we drilled to take a look at our "allies" in Afghanistan and in Iraq? Along with further strengthening the ties with what is largely a rogue nation in Pakistan? But in reality, the foreign policy debacle goes well before that with the first signs of it showing up clearly in 1953.
