As empires rise and fall, from the Roman Empire to the Soviet Union, is America headed for near death or third rate nation? It's all written in the history books. With the leaders that we vote into office and their curruption and actually encouraging our demise, seems we are already on that path. We no longer vote for intelligent canidates. So, who do you think will be the next Empire?

Sorry, you haven't made a convincing case that America is "headed for near death or third rate nation."

The conservatives and the liberals really should be pals. They have the same goals. Its just in the details on how to de-industrialize and stagnate human progress. Stop bickering and work together I say.

Absolutely its on the decline, but it will take quite awhile before it hits rock bottom. Took hundreds of years for Rome, Ottomans , Britain, Austria etc. Not sure why people expect a sudden collapse.

we are one event away from waking up to a new way of living. maybe a nuclear war, maybe a collapse of something, maybe a natural event. no idea when, but when we hit rock bottom, it will be a hard fall.

Or maybe we are one event away from no longer being a species on the planet. Happened before, and will happen again.

The next empire is NWO and it is already here. They are now just systematically dismantling what is left of the old United States of America. Kind of like a leveraged buyout where you sell off the pieces of a mortgaged company until you liquefy it.

Well, we have politicians who are beholden to a miniscule subset of the population, like 0.0001%. When the representatives fail to represent the people who elect them, bad things happen.

Our economic policy is contractionary; people then get mad and act surprised when the economy contracts.
