Agreed. The status quo republicans don't have answers that work either. The same ones that put us in this horrible economic condition cannot be expected to fix things with business as usual.
They should quit trying to manage the economy. It hasn't worked out in the long run yet.

Default Unemployment Falls to 8.5% as U.S. Adds 200K Jobs

Long ways to go but great news for the economy.

U.S. employers added more workers to payrolls than forecast in December and the jobless rate declined to an almost three-year low, showing that the labor market gained momentum heading into 2012-

Slowly recovering since 2009, great chart on page 2 of BLS

Pessimism among forum member's does not change the fact that this nation is not better off under Barack Obama. It also does not change the fact that a 200K jobs gain is a drop in the pan for a nation of 13M+ out of work, able-bodied Americans. Especially since population replacement is outpacing our unemployment situation.

What is there to be optimistic about? The President sucks. The economy sucks. It is what it is.

That you seem to believe that the President is net positive for this country is a bit disturbing.

Very true! Now it's time to cut all unemployment handouts back to the origianal 26 weeks and let the rest of the lumps get back to work and start paying their taxes.

And it's such great news, it means we can start cutting back the other welfare programs like food stamps. Gut them all. In fact this is such great economic news, I think we can all assume that anyone who isn't working for a living now just plain doesn't want to work.

And I will say that thoses on unemployment and welfare now have a new sense of hope! You think people prefer to starve on welfare than work? I don't think so! This is indeed great news
