Oh how easy it is to convince the sheep to support their own imprisonment.

This deal is just more propaganda to show how "necessary" it is to have a program like SOPA. And it's so obvious.

Copyright has it's proper place, and intellectual property needs to be protected without a doubt. But the push for more strict laws for such protection is a blatant pretext for direct censorship, opening Pandora's box to a Soviet or Chinese style lock down of information exchange. That's the purpose of this.

Poor Hollywood .... those poor fellows are just being clobbered out there by internet gangster teenagers stealing them blind, aren't they? What a joke.

The fact is, Hollywood is just another wholly owned propaganda arm of the globalist criminal mafia who constantly feed the masses their false version of reality .... and so much of the public swallows every story presented, hook, line and sinker.

I'm beginning to view these criminals as less of a problem than the criminally stupid who swallow these BS stories and manipulations without so much as two brain cells in their heads actually shaking hands

I know hating on your country is the way cool thing to do when you're a brainwashed liberal college student who thinks he has the answer to the world's problems (i.e nuke the great satan usa), but could you please provide proof of anyone here at C-D saying "the USA is a super kingdom and above everybody else"? Please don't include obviously sarcastic posts. I'm just looking to see if your theory holds up.

It is unconstitutional to be tried by a foreign court for crimes committed on American soil. It's the very reason we could never join the International Criminal Court.

To preempt the alleged damage by allowing US Authorities to literally eliminate offshore websites from being accessed.

It's a very simple concept ... the US authorities don't like you or your message, they can claim a copyright complaint, and you're summarily guilty and you're website disappears.

A very useful tool if you wish to sensor the internet, and restrict access to only network media approved propaganda.

I hope they throw the book at him and it hits him squarely in the head.
I question that. If I do this:

FREE MUSIC: Download music, movies, games, software! The Pirate Bay - The world's most resilient BitTorrent site

Am I doing something illegal? I don't know so how would you expect somebody 3000 miles away to know? But that is not even the point here. The point is that is it LEGAL in his country. An extradition treaty is for people that commit serious crimes in this country and flee. If subjects of the crown that have NOT committed a crime in this country or even ever been here can be rounded up and brought here and jailed, what is to prevent the UK or any other country from demanding that we be sent there to stand trial for crimes that are LEGAL in the USA. This is unprecedented and if it stands, the laws and protections we enjoy as US citizens will be gone. They are pretty much anyway.

There are lots of people who think that way. All you have to do is read the boards. If we **** on dead foreigners, they think it is OK but if foreigners desecrate American corpses, we get plenty upset about that. And I don't hate my country. I served my country. I am one of the 1%. No, not the 1% that are rich. The 1% that served my time in the military.

Becuz what he was doing was illegal here. Just becuz you hide somewhere else, doesn't mean you can commit crime here. You want kiddie porn purveyors selling they stuff in this country while sunning themselves in the Carribean?

If I'm a fence, receiving property stolen in the UK and selling it world-wide on the internet, should I get off scott free too? Should there be no way to stop me?
